Autobiography
I grew up in Saint Paul as the youngest of 11 children to Hmong refugees from Laos. My experience spending my youth babysitting my nieces and nephews fostered a strong sense of responsibility and an appreciation for the chance to experience a family growing up. While I maintain a busy and active life, I cherish finding moments of peace and quiet – I find particular enjoyment and calmness being in water. I approach life with an enthusiasm for exploring new activities and embracing new challenges.
I am happily married to my husband of over 8 years and deeply value our time together as a family. I am a dedicated mother to 5 beautiful children – 4 living and 1 angel. My personal journey as a mother has given me firsthand knowledge of physical endurance, emotional intensity, indescribable relief and happiness of progress, and healing comfort throughout the perinatal period.
For over nine years, I have dedicated my practice to therapeutic wellness as a massage therapist. I am deeply passionate about working with clients during the perinatal period and have a special love for infant massage. My professional goal is to integrate these skills as a massage therapist and doula, creating a continuous source of comfort and dedicated support for families.
While I deeply appreciate the happiness and joy that birth brings, I also understand that the journey can be complex, sometimes bringing feelings of sadness and despair. I know the heartbreak of loss, particularly for those who have been told their baby may not survive. I’ve been there and that has led me to pursue additional training in bereavement support for birthing parents and their families. I want to be able to offer a steady light of guidance throughout the birthing process, regardless of which path it takes.
I am excited to announce that I am offering birth photography and/or videography! I firmly believe that every person should get the opportunity to see their birth story unfold from an outside perspective. To witness the strength, emotions, and the love in this very moment is truly a heartfelt sight.
